During his ongoing three-day visit to the United States, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, with a key highlight being his discussion with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the White House. The meeting was described as productive, with both sides reviewing the full spectrum of India–US relations and identifying areas for deeper cooperation.
The discussions focused on critical sectors that are increasingly central to the partnership, including trade, defence collaboration, and the supply of critical minerals. Both sides also emphasised the importance of the Quad framework, which continues to serve as a key platform for strategic coordination in the Indo-Pacific region.
