I deserve better, tum kaale ho: With the aid of her lover, a woman murders her spouse

A murder case in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district, initially reported as a robbery gone wrong, has taken a dramatic turn, with police alleging it was a carefully planned killing orchestrated by the victim’s wife and her partner.

The incident occurred in Gondikheda village, where Priyanka claimed that unknown intruders had broken into her home at night, assaulted her, and killed her husband, Devkrishna, before fleeing. When authorities arrived, they found her distressed and the house in disarray, suggesting a possible robbery.

However, as the investigation progressed, police began to suspect inconsistencies in the account. Evidence at the scene and further questioning led investigators to conclude that the crime scene had been deliberately staged to mislead authorities.

During the probe, members of the victim’s family described the marriage as troubled, alleging frequent arguments between the couple. They claimed that Priyanka often taunted her husband, including making remarks about his appearance and expressing dissatisfaction with the marriage, at times even suggesting separation.

According to police findings, Priyanka had been in a relationship with a man named Kamlesh since 2020. Investigators allege that the two conspired to eliminate Devkrishna and planned the crime in advance. Kamlesh is said to have involved another individual, Surendra, with an agreement reportedly involving a payment of around ₹1 lakh to carry out the हत्या.

Authorities believe the attack was executed at night while the victim was asleep, reducing the chances of resistance. Devkrishna was allegedly killed with a sharp weapon. To conceal the crime, the accused are said to have scattered household items to mimic a robbery and tied Priyanka up to support the fabricated narrative before raising an alarm.

Police stated that the case was solved within 36 hours, leading to the arrest of Priyanka and Kamlesh. Efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend the third आरोपी, Surendra. Officials emphasised that the investigation revealed a premeditated conspiracy rather than a случайное преступление, underscoring the seriousness of the case.
