A decomposed body of an unidentified man, estimated to be around 40 years old, was discovered stuffed inside a plastic bag outside a factory in Delhi on Friday morning, triggering a police investigation.
The body was found by a security guard who returned to his post around 7:30 am on April 4. He had reportedly spent the previous night elsewhere due to mosquito issues and noticed a white plastic bag lying near the factory gate upon his return. The bag, tied with a rope and emitting a foul smell, raised suspicion, prompting him to inform the police.
A police team reached the spot and found the body in a decomposed condition inside the bag. The man was dressed in blue jeans and a peach-coloured full-sleeve shirt and had a light beard. Initial examination did not reveal any visible external injuries.
A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team conducted a detailed inspection of the scene and documented evidence. The body was later shifted to the mortuary at Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital for further examination.
Authorities are currently working to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the death. The investigation remains ongoing.
