Infosys has appointed company veteran Ashiss Kumar Dash as its next Chief Executive Officer, paving the way for a leadership transition at one of India's largest IT services firms. The board has named Dash as CEO-designate, and he will officially assume the roles of Managing Director and CEO on April 1, 2027.
Dash will succeed Salil Parekh, whose second term as CEO concludes after more than nine years in the role. Until then, Parekh will continue to lead the company while working closely with Dash to ensure a seamless transition.
The appointment shines a spotlight on a leader who has spent over three decades at Infosys, serving in a variety of leadership positions across customer engagement, business delivery and global operations. His long tenure and extensive experience within the company are among the key reasons the board has entrusted him with steering Infosys through its next phase of growth.
Currently, Dash serves as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy and Enterprise Sustainability. In this role, he leads a portfolio spanning more than a dozen industry verticals and works with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies on large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

His appointment comes at a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the global technology landscape. In his first statement as CEO-designate, Dash underscored that AI will remain central to Infosys' long-term strategy.

Beyond his operational responsibilities, Dash has represented Infosys at several prominent international forums. He has contributed to discussions on energy transition and sustainable development at the World Economic Forum and the United Nations' Global Investors for Sustainable Development Alliance. He also represented the company at the B20 Summit 2023, the official business engagement forum of the G20.
Dash serves on the boards of several Infosys subsidiaries, including Health Sigma, Simplus, Blue Acorn iCi and Infosys Public Services. He is also a trustee of Infosys Foundation USA, which promotes computer science education and digital skills development.
An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Dash has also completed Stanford University's Global Leadership Program. Based in Los Angeles, he is an avid reader and enjoys running, swimming and practising mindfulness.
