Jr. NTR sustains a shoulder injury and is told to rest for six to eight weeks while the team releases a statement


Actor Jr NTR has been advised to take complete rest for six to eight weeks after suffering a shoulder injury during an activity on Tuesday, according to an official statement issued by his team.

The statement said the actor underwent a medical examination shortly after the incident.

The evaluation was conducted by a team of specialists led by Dr J Madhusudan Rao and Dr R A Purnachandra Tejaswi. In the statement released on Tuesday, July 28, Jr NTR's team assured fans that there is no reason for concern.

"We regret to inform everyone that Mr. NTR sustained an unfortunate shoulder injury earlier this evening," the statement said.

"Following a thorough medical evaluation, the team of doctors headed by Dr J Madhusudan Rao and Dr R A Purnachandra Tejaswi has advised complete rest for six to eight weeks to ensure a smooth and complete recovery," it added.

The team further reassured fans, saying, "We would like to assure everyone that there is absolutely no cause for panic. We will continue to share official updates regarding his health and recovery as and when appropriate. Thank you for your understanding and continued support."

On the work front, Jr NTR was last seen in the Telugu film Devara: Part 1 (2024), directed by Koratala Siva. The film also starred Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Prakash Raj.

He made his Hindi film debut with Ayan Mukerji's War 2 (2025), sharing screen space with Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and Varun Badola.

Jr NTR is currently working on Dragon (2027), directed by Prashanth Neel. The film's first-look poster was unveiled on May 19 ahead of the actor's birthday.
