Days after receiving his first National Award, actor Kartik Aaryan visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain along with his parents to seek blessings. During the visit, he participated in the temple's sacred Shayan Aarti and offered prayers at the revered shrine.
Videos and photographs from the visit, which have since surfaced on social media, showed Kartik praying with folded hands in the Nandi Hall before performing the rituals. Dressed in traditional attire, the actor was accompanied by his parents throughout the temple visit.
Kartik also shared a picture from the shrine on Instagram with the caption, "Jai Mahakaal."
The visit continues Kartik's long-standing tradition of seeking blessings at the Mahakaleshwar Temple before and after major milestones in his personal and professional life. Whether it is the release of a film, the beginning of a new project or a significant career achievement, the actor has regularly visited the temple to offer prayers and express gratitude.
KARTIK AARYAN'S NATIONAL AWARD WIN
Kartik recently won the Best Actor award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance in Chandu Champion (2024), earning the first National Award of his career.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the film featured Kartik as Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. His performance received widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike, with many describing it as one of the finest of his career.
The actor also underwent a significant physical transformation to portray the celebrated athlete in the biographical sports drama.
ON THE WORK FRONT
Kartik will next star in director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's Naagzilla, in which he is reportedly set to play an Ichadhari Naag, a shape-shifting serpent. The film is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Sujit Jain.
He is also set to feature in Anurag Basu's upcoming film alongside Sreeleela, which is expected to release later this year.
