Basil Joseph has sparked fresh speculation about a collaboration with Allu Arjun after sharing a cryptic post on social media.
The filmmaker posted a photo of a cap bearing the word "Icon", along with only a ⭐ emoji in the caption. Fans quickly connected it to Allu Arjun, who is popularly known as the "Icon Star." The image also featured two silhouetted figures in the background, further fueling theories that Basil was teasing their long-rumored film.
So far, however, there has been no official announcement from either Basil Joseph or Allu Arjun confirming the project.
What we know about the rumored film
Industry reports have suggested that Basil and Allu Arjun have been discussing a collaboration.
If the project happens, it is expected to begin after Allu Arjun completes his current commitments:

AA23 (also referred to as LK07), directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Earlier rumors linked the collaboration to a Shaktimaan adaptation, but Arun Anirudhan, co-writer of Minnal Murali, clarified that Shaktimaan was never pitched to Allu Arjun and that any potential Basil–Allu project would be an entirely different film.
Allu Arjun's current projects
Raaka (director: Atlee): A large-scale action entertainer reportedly featuring extensive CGI and visual effects. Reports suggest Allu Arjun may portray four different characters in a story involving parallel universes. Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as the female lead, while reports also link Rashmika Mandanna to a significant role, though that has not been officially confirmed.
AA23 / LK07 (director: Lokesh Kanagaraj): Still in pre-production, with reports indicating that look tests have already taken place.
Basil Joseph's recent work
Basil was most recently seen in Athiradi alongside Tovino Thomas. The film follows a college student attempting to revive his institution's annual festival, only to be drawn into a chaotic kidnapping involving a former gangster-turned-musician. It is currently streaming on SonyLIV. He also made a cameo appearance in Mollywood Times.
At this stage, Basil Joseph's "Icon" post remains an intriguing teaser rather than a confirmation. Fans will likely have to wait for an official announcement to know whether the much-discussed collaboration with Allu Arjun is finally becoming a reality.
