Following a successful theatrical run, Ram Charan's Peddi is set to premiere on Netflix on July 9. Starring Janhvi Kapoor alongside Ram Charan, the film will initially stream in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, while the Hindi version will be released at a later date.
Netflix announced the digital release on Instagram, writing, "Aata marocchu kaani, monagadu mathram maradu (The game might change, but the champion remains the same). Watch Peddi, out 9 July, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Coming soon in Hindi, on Netflix."
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi was released in cinemas on June 4, 2026. Despite receiving mixed reviews and sparking discussion around Janhvi Kapoor's role, the film emerged as one of the year's biggest box-office successes. According to Sacnilk, it earned Rs 338.98 crore worldwide, including Rs 286 crore in India.
The cast also includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani and Ravi Kishan in important roles. The film's music and background score were composed by Oscar-winning musician A.R. Rahman.
During the film's success celebration, Chiranjeevi disclosed that Ram Charan had suffered a serious eye injury while shooting an action sequence. He said the actor required eight stitches and narrowly avoided losing his eye, as the injury landed on his eyebrow rather than slightly lower.
Commending his son's dedication, Chiranjeevi noted that although Ram Charan came from a privileged background, he chose to put in extraordinary effort instead of doing only what was required. He recalled watching him wake up at 4 am to train, spend long hours filming, return home late, have a light meal, and train again. Chiranjeevi said his son's discipline and commitment made him immensely proud.
