Siemens shares remained in focus on Tuesday after gaining more than 2% during the trading session. The rise followed the company’s strong revenue growth, with its latest financial results pointing to continued improvement in business performance.
At the close of trading, Siemens shares were up 2.47% at Rs 4,011. Investors have been closely tracking the stock as the company continues to benefit from demand across its industrial and infrastructure-focused businesses.
So, what is behind the rise in Siemens shares?
SIEMENS REVENUE RISES STRONGLY
A major factor supporting investor sentiment has been the company’s revenue growth. For the financial year ended March 2026, Siemens reported consolidated revenue of Rs 24,845.60 crore, compared with Rs 17,364.20 crore in the previous year.
Consolidated net profit also increased to Rs 2,283.40 crore in March 2026 from Rs 2,105.90 crore a year earlier. The figures indicate that the company continued to expand despite challenging business conditions.
Q1 REVENUE JUMPS 14.8%
Siemens’ latest quarterly performance also provided support to the stock. Revenue from operations in Q1 FY27 increased 14.8% year-on-year to Rs 4,713.7 crore, compared with Rs 4,107.7 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
On a sequential basis, consolidated revenue for the quarter ended March 2026 stood at Rs 4,617.50 crore, compared with Rs 3,830.70 crore in the December 2025 quarter, representing growth of around 20.5%.
Consolidated net profit rose to Rs 370.40 crore from Rs 277.80 crore in the previous quarter, marking an increase of approximately 33.3%.
The combination of stronger revenue and profit growth appears to have contributed to the positive sentiment surrounding the stock.
WHY ARE INVESTORS TRACKING SIEMENS?
Siemens is closely associated with India’s industrial and infrastructure expansion. Its businesses have exposure to segments including automation, electrification, mobility and industrial technology.
With India continuing to increase investments in infrastructure, manufacturing and industrial capacity, companies operating in these sectors could benefit from sustained demand.
For investors, the company’s revenue growth is significant not only because of its latest quarterly performance but also because it could indicate that Siemens is benefiting from broader investment activity across the economy.
CASH FLOW REMAINS A POINT TO WATCH
Despite the positive financial performance, investors may also want to monitor certain aspects of the company’s results.
Siemens reported negative cash flow from operating activities of Rs 535 crore for March 2026, compared with positive cash flow of Rs 374 crore in September 2025.
Operating cash flow reflects the amount of cash generated through a company’s regular business activities. A negative figure can therefore warrant attention, particularly if it persists over a prolonged period.
The company’s cash flow from investing activities stood at Rs 3,688 crore in March 2026, compared with Rs 3,120 crore in September 2025.
For now, the rise in Siemens shares appears to reflect investor optimism over the company’s improving revenue and profit performance. The sustainability of this momentum will depend on Siemens’ ability to translate its business growth into consistent earnings and cash generation.
