For many young entrepreneurs, purchasing a home marks a significant personal milestone. But Bengaluru-based startup founder Akash Narayan used the occasion to acknowledge the people who supported him along the way.
The 24-year-old recently announced on Instagram that he had bought his first apartment, saying the achievement belonged not only to him but also to his family, mentors, colleagues and friends.
According to Hindustan Times, Narayan purchased an apartment at Casagrand Vivacity near Bengaluru's Electronic City, with possession expected in April 2027. He is the founder of legal-tech startup Legalit, which he said currently generates around Rs 13 crore in annual gross revenue.
A MILESTONE SHARED WITH MANY
Rather than posting a traditional house tour, Narayan shared an emotional video expressing gratitude to those who had played a role in his journey.
He thanked his mother for believing in him even when his career choice "wasn't the logical choice", his father for the life lessons he imparted, and his sister for helping him stay grounded. He also remembered his late grandparents for teaching him kindness.
Narayan expressed appreciation for his mentors for investing time in his development, acknowledged his colleagues for supporting him through challenging projects, and credited his friends for encouraging him while keeping him humble.
Describing the apartment as "just the beginning", he concluded the video by thanking God and saying he was already focused on his next goal.
FROM LAW STUDENT TO STARTUP FOUNDER
According to his LinkedIn profile, Narayan studied at St. Joseph's College of Law between 2020 and 2025 and is currently pursuing Data Science at Manipal University Jaipur.
His entrepreneurial journey began during his school years, when he developed Android applications including VeBrowser and HowToTech, an app designed to help senior citizens understand modern technology. The app received recognition from Infosys.
Over the years, he gained experience across technology, business development and political consulting. His career includes internships at Nokia, consulting assignments with Sphinx Tech, roles as a Full-stack Developer, Head of Growth at NK Law Associates, Chief Technology Officer at Report Cyber Crimes (RCC), and political campaign work with I-PAC, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), before becoming a freelance political consultant.
In December 2023, he founded Legalit, a legal-tech startup that develops technology solutions for lawyers and law firms. He is also a seed investor in startup Ayen.

Narayan's post quickly attracted congratulatory messages from entrepreneurs, professionals and aspiring founders, many praising him for highlighting the people who contributed to his success rather than presenting the achievement as an individual accomplishment.
For many first-generation entrepreneurs, owning a home symbolises the rewards of years of hard work and uncertainty. Narayan's message reflected the belief that while the apartment may be in his name, the journey to achieving it was made possible by the support of many people.
