October will see the premiere of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's spy comedy, Udta Teer

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan are set to reunite for another film, this time a comedy entertainer titled Udta Teer. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 9, 2026. It will mark their second collaboration after Pati Patni Aur Woh Do and also serves as writer Akash A Kaushik’s directorial debut.

Produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, Udta Teer is being presented as a family entertainer centred around humour, chaos and comic situations. The makers have finalised October 9 as its theatrical release date, placing it one week after Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3, which is scheduled for release on October 2.

At present, no other major theatrical release has been announced for October 9.

Udta Teer brings Ayushmann and Sara together for their second project. The two actors previously worked together in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, which also featured Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi.

The upcoming film will once again see the pair headline a comedy-focused story, although the makers have kept the plot details under wraps. Further information about the storyline and the remaining cast is expected to be revealed closer to the film’s release.

For Ayushmann, the project also marks a return to the comedy-driven entertainer genre that has featured prominently in his career.

Written and directed by Akash A Kaushik, Udta Teer marks his debut as a feature film director. The project also brings Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment together for another collaboration.

The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain.

With its October 9 release, Udta Teer will reach cinemas just a week after Drishyam 3, giving the comedy a relatively open theatrical window as the festive season approaches.
