Ravi Teja’s Telugu action drama Irumudi, which hit theatres on August 21, has been doing well at the box office while receiving positive feedback from critics and celebrities. Rashmika Mandanna is the latest celebrity to praise the film after watching it in a theatre.
In a post on X, Rashmika described Irumudi as a “beautiful film” and said it dealt with an issue that needs to be discussed. She also congratulated Ravi Teja, director Shiva Nirvana and the entire team on the film’s success.
Rashmika wrote that she watched Irumudi the previous day and was pleasantly surprised by the film. She said the story affected her in unexpected ways and appreciated how it portrayed the innocence of people growing up in small towns.
She explained that when something troubling happens, people from small-town backgrounds often instinctively turn to their elders for help. However, as they grow up, they are sometimes taught to remain silent regardless of what has happened.
Calling Irumudi “a wonderful surprise,” Rashmika said the film addresses a subject that deserves to be discussed.
She also congratulated the cast and crew, praising Ravi Teja for the film’s success and highlighting Nakshathra’s performance. She described the young actor as the “sunshine” of the film and said her smile made her smile as well. Rashmika also congratulated Shiva Nirvana, saying he deserved the success, and thanked the entire team for making such a beautiful film.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Irumudi earned Rs 19 crore in India on Monday and another Rs 12 crore on Tuesday, taking its India gross collection to Rs 73 crore. The film has also performed strongly overseas, pushing its worldwide gross to Rs 88 crore during the early phase of its theatrical run.
Directed by Shiva Nirvana, Irumudi is produced by Mythri Movie Makers’ Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays a key role, while Baby Nakshathra portrays Ravi Teja’s daughter. Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh, Ramesh Indira and Swasika are also part of the cast.
Irumudi was released in theatres on August 21, 2026.
