UGC-NET CONTROVERSY
The UGC-NET June 2026 examination was conducted between June 22 and 30 across 87 subjects. However, the exam faced controversy after candidates reported several errors in the English, Commerce and Sociology question papers.
An NTA-appointed committee later identified factual, typographical and translation errors, along with repeated questions. Following these findings, the agency cancelled the three affected papers and announced a fresh examination for them.
The remaining 84 subjects were not impacted and proceeded as scheduled. The final answer keys released now cover those 84 subjects after candidates were given an opportunity to challenge the provisional answers.
