A 91-year-old woman died after being attacked and knocked to the ground by a monkey outside her home in Karnataka's Koppal district. The incident was recorded on CCTV and later went viral on social media.

A monkey sitting on a concrete pillar beside the property's black metal gate suddenly jumped towards her.
The CCTV footage captured the animal approaching the woman, causing her to lose her balance and fall backwards onto the hard surface.
Her daughter immediately came outside to help after the incident. The monkey also moved towards another woman who rushed to assist and briefly attacked her.
The entire sequence was recorded by the CCTV camera and subsequently spread widely across social media.
Several social media users expressed shock at the circumstances surrounding the 91-year-old woman's death, while others highlighted concerns over increasing encounters between monkeys and people in residential neighbourhoods.
