Bhojpuri actor Kajal Raghwani was in Bihar Sharif for the inauguration of a jewellery showroom when an unruly crowd reportedly gathered outside the venue. A video circulating on social media shows a large number of people running after the car carrying the actor as she was being escorted away from the location. Raghwani later shared a video on social media confirming that she was safe.
Raghwani had travelled to Bihar for the showroom inauguration, where a large crowd had gathered to see the actor. The situation reportedly became chaotic when people broke the glass of a car, believing that Raghwani might be inside, in an attempt to catch a glimpse of her. Several windows of her Toyota Fortuner were damaged during the incident.
The video further showed people chasing the vehicle as it tried to navigate its way through the crowd. The commotion took place while Raghwani was being taken away from the venue.
The showroom operator assisted Raghwani in leaving the premises discreetly as the crowd continued to grow. She was taken out through the driver’s gate, following which the vehicle quickly drove away from the area.
Kajal Raghwani later posted a video to reassure her fans that she was safe and had not suffered any injuries. She also expressed gratitude to her supporters and asked them to continue supporting her.
According to reports, police said the organisers had not obtained administrative permission for the event and that a notice would be served to them. However, the showroom operator reportedly rejected the claim, stating that the district administration had been informed about the event through a letter and that a permission application had been filed on September 17.
Raghwani started her acting career at a young age, initially appearing in Gujarati films before making her Bhojpuri debut with Rihai in 2013. She has gone on to feature in more than 50 films, including popular movies such as Patna Se Pakistan, Mehandi Laga Ke Rakhna, Bhojpuriya Raja and Sangharsh.
After appearing in Bhojpuri Bawaal, she is set to feature next in Rise and Fall 2.
