Bhojpuri actor Aamrapali Dubey has once again addressed the long-standing rumours surrounding her relationship with co-star Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua. In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20, she said people often assume that the two are dating, while revealing that Nirahua has actually been encouraging her to get married. Nirahua is married to Mansha Yadav, and the couple has two sons.
Aamrapali discussed the subject while speaking with fellow contestant Love Gill. She said her friendship with Nirahua dates back to the beginning of her journey in the Bhojpuri film industry. The two first appeared together in the 2014 film Nirahua Hindustani, which marked Aamrapali’s Bhojpuri debut. Since then, they have become one of the most popular on-screen pairs in the industry.
Describing their friendship, Aamrapali said, “Even today, our friendship is such that I don’t need to tell him anything. I just look at him, and he understands and starts laughing. Friendships should be so unfiltered. People think he and I are dating, and that poor guy has gone crazy convincing me that I should marry someone. How do I explain to him? Men think it’s very easy to get married. They don’t understand our side. We will have to leave all that we have earned behind and go. Men find this idea of getting married very easy.”
What she had said earlier
In a previous episode of Bigg Boss 20, Aamrapali also revealed that Nirahua had recommended her to actor Santosh Shukla during Bigg Boss 6. After he recommended her, she transitioned from television to films.
A few months ago, Aamrapali also spoke about her close relationship with Nirahua’s children on the reality show Bhojpuri Bawaal.
During the show, journalist Shubankar Mishra asked her about her equation with Nirahua. When he referred to Nirahua as her “brother”, Aamrapali corrected him, saying, “No, he is my co-actor.” When Mishra asked whether Nirahua was “just” her co-actor, she replied, “Absolutely.” Discussing her bond with Nirahua and his children, she added, “His children are very good friends of mine.” She also cautioned, “Think before you speak about me.”
Her response on the Mahakumbh visit
Aamrapali had previously addressed questions about her visit to the Mahakumbh with Nirahua in an interview with The Times of India. She explained that she had travelled there with her family and that Nirahua joined them after learning about their plans.
She said, “People also questioned me because I was seen holding hands with Nirahua ji while taking a dip at the Mahakumbh. Some asked why his wife wasn’t there if we were only friends. But why is that question always directed at me? My entire family was there. My mother, sister, uncle, and aunt had all come along. It was a family plan, and Dinesh ji happened to be in Uttar Pradesh. When he found out that everyone was going, he decided to join us. That’s all there was to it.”
Nirahua’s earlier remarks
Earlier this year, Nirahua spoke about his marriage in an interview with Digital Commentary. He said he did not love his wife and claimed that his parents had pressured him into getting married.
“I told my children that I was never able to love their mother. I have also told my wife that I never loved her. Yes, it is my duty that since my parents got us married, I am fulfilling that responsibility. I do feel guilty about it. That is why I will not do the same with my children. I will never tell them that they have to do things a certain way. I will not force them,” he said.
