Mirzapur: The Movie is continuing its impressive theatrical performance and has crossed the Rs 200-crore worldwide mark within just seven days. Led by Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal, the film has maintained a strong pace during its opening week, with its global gross reaching Rs 212.44 crore by Day 7.
In India, the crime drama is also nearing the Rs 150-crore nett milestone. According to early estimates from trade website Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 10.55 crore nett on Day 7 from 10,379 shows. Its total India nett collection has now reached Rs 148.45 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 176.94 crore.
The film began with Rs 25.75 crore on its opening day before witnessing a substantial rise on Day 2, when it collected Rs 32 crore. Day 3 proved to be its biggest day so far, bringing in Rs 36 crore. Collections then declined to Rs 16 crore on Day 4 and Rs 15.60 crore on Day 5. Day 6 added Rs 12.55 crore, while Day 7 contributed another Rs 10.55 crore.
The movie has also maintained a consistent performance overseas. It earned Rs 4.25 crore on Day 1, followed by Rs 6 crore on Day 2 and Rs 7 crore on Day 3. Collections then came in at Rs 2.50 crore on Day 4, Rs 3.50 crore on Day 5 and Rs 2 crore on Day 6. On Day 7, it added another Rs 2.50 crore, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 35.50 crore.
With its domestic and international earnings combined, Mirzapur: The Movie has reached Rs 212.44 crore in worldwide gross collections. Having already crossed Rs 200 crore globally, the film will now look to maintain its momentum during its second weekend.
The movie is also only Rs 1.55 crore short of the Rs 150-crore India nett mark, making that its immediate domestic target. If its strong run continues, it could subsequently aim for larger milestones such as Rs 175 crore and Rs 200 crore nett in India.
Directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur: The Movie brings the popular crime franchise from television to the big screen. Serving as a prequel to the first season of the series, the film explores an earlier phase in the lives of several major characters.
Pankaj Tripathi returns as Akhandanand (Kaleen) Tripathi, while Ali Fazal reprises his role as Guddu Pandit and Divyenndu returns as Munna Tripathi. Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Jitendra Kumar are also back in their respective roles. The cast further features Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Sonal Chauhan, Mohit Malik and Sushant Singh.
