Hanuman Ansh is continuing its impressive theatrical run, although its collections have begun to slow in the sixth week. Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the spiritual drama has entered the Rs 300-crore club in worldwide gross earnings after completing 41 days in cinemas. The milestone comes even as the film's domestic nett collection dropped by more than 27 per cent on Wednesday.
As per trade tracker Sacnilk, Hanuman Ansh earned Rs 6 crore nett (gross collection after deducting taxes) from 9,203 shows across India on Day 41, its sixth Wednesday. This was a 27.3 per cent fall from the Rs 8.25 crore nett it collected on Tuesday. With Wednesday's earnings added, the film's India nett total has reached Rs 237.13 crore, while its domestic gross collection is estimated at around Rs 280 crore.
The film has also maintained a consistent overseas performance during its sixth week. Following overseas gross earnings of Rs 2 crore each on Monday and Tuesday, Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 1.75 crore on Wednesday. Its overseas gross total has now reached Rs 20.25 crore.
Combining its domestic and international earnings, the film's worldwide gross has climbed to Rs 300.25 crore. The achievement is significant given the film's relatively slow start at the box office, before favourable word of mouth helped it pick up pace and maintain its momentum over the following weeks.
Hanuman Ansh week and day-wise box office collection
The film has witnessed a substantial rise in collections during the later stages of its theatrical run. Hanuman Ansh earned Rs 1.08 crore nett in its first week and Rs 40 lakh in the second week. Its Week 3 collection improved to Rs 10.40 crore, followed by a much stronger Rs 61 crore in Week 4. The film then recorded Rs 90.25 crore in Week 5.
The momentum continued into the sixth week, with the film drawing audiences to theatres. It earned Rs 10.50 crore on Friday, Rs 18.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 22.50 crore on Sunday. Collections then came down to Rs 8.25 crore on both Monday and Tuesday, before falling further to Rs 6 crore on Wednesday.
Hanuman Ansh's Day 41 occupancy
The dip in earnings was also visible in the film's theatre occupancy. Hanuman Ansh registered an overall occupancy of 17.19 per cent on Wednesday, compared with 28.65 per cent on Tuesday.
Morning shows recorded 12.85 per cent occupancy on Wednesday, down from 14.85 per cent a day earlier. Afternoon occupancy stood at 15.92 per cent, compared with Tuesday's 27.31 per cent. Evening shows registered 19 per cent occupancy, while night screenings had the highest occupancy of the day at 21 per cent.
Despite the midweek decline, Hanuman Ansh has achieved a significant turnaround at the box office. Its worldwide gross of Rs 300.25 crore after 41 days reflects its sustained run in theatres, while its domestic nett earnings are now moving closer to the Rs 250-crore milestone.
Hanuman Ansh is a spiritual drama centred on the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj-Ji. The film explores his spiritual journey and devotion to Lord Hanuman, portraying important episodes from the life of the revered spiritual figure.
Shobhinaw Satyaa portrays Neem Karoli Baba, while Purnima Tiwari plays his wife, Rambeti Sharma. Chandan Anand, Vihaan Shedge and Anil Rastogi are also part of the cast. Vishal Chaturvedi has both written and directed the film, which is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life.
