VIBE trailer: crazy spy comedy starring Kunal Kemmu, Preity Zinta, and Sparsh Shrivastava

The trailer for actor-director Kunal Kemmu’s upcoming action comedy VIBE has been released, introducing a story about two close friends whose routine lives are thrown into chaos when they are drawn into a dangerous mission. The film stars Kemmu alongside Preity G Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava and Vanshika Dhir, with Yashpal Sharma and Dinesh Lal Yadav appearing in important roles.

Scheduled to hit theatres on September 18, 2026, VIBE centres on two inseparable friends whose bond and instincts for survival are put to the test when they become part of an unpredictable adventure.

The trailer introduces Hardik, played by Kunal Kemmu, and Bugs, portrayed by Sparsh Shrivastava, as two ordinary men whose lives take a dramatic turn when a looming national threat pushes them into action. Completely unprepared for what lies ahead, they are recruited for a high-stakes mission by Madam H, played by Preity G Zinta, who brings an action-comedy flavour to the role. The trailer combines humour, friendship, action sequences, music and unexpected twists as the characters navigate a series of increasingly dangerous situations.

Backed by Amazon MGM Studios, VIBE has been written and directed by Kemmu. He has also produced the film with Chirag Nihalani under the Drongo Films banner.

Talking about the film, Kemmu said he wanted VIBE to be a full-fledged entertainer that audiences could enjoy in theatres with family, friends or even by themselves. He described the film as a combination of comedy, high-energy action, romance, music and several other elements he enjoys about cinema.

Kemmu explained that much of the humour comes from watching ordinary people get caught in situations far beyond their control. He said playing one of those characters while simultaneously writing, directing and producing the film required him to constantly move between different sides of the same chaotic experience. He also praised his co-stars, saying Preity, Sparsh, Vanshika, Yashpal, Dinesh and the rest of the cast each brought their own distinctive energy to the project.

According to Kemmu, the film features chases, danger, confusion, friendship and plenty of poor decisions, elements he said made the filmmaking experience particularly enjoyable. He also expressed gratitude for collaborating with Amazon MGM Studios and said he was looking forward to audiences experiencing VIBE on the big screen.

Preity G Zinta said she particularly enjoyed the unique energy of her character. She described Madam H as someone who deeply loves her country and is willing to go to any lengths to protect it. According to Zinta, the character is determined to complete her mission regardless of the methods required.

Zinta added that the role gave her an opportunity to explore a side of herself that audiences had not previously seen. She praised Kemmu for being clear about what he wanted from his actors and described working on the film as an unpredictable adventure where the cast never knew what the next day would bring, which she felt suited a film titled VIBE.

Kemmu last directed the 2024 comedy-thriller Madgaon Express, which marked his directorial debut. He also hosted Alliance, a strategy-based reality show featuring 16 contestants divided into four teams competing in social and tactical challenges.

Zinta was most recently seen in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Batwara 1947, which also featured Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh in key roles.
