In the J&K woodland, the army finds a terrorist stronghold and retrieves ammunition and grenades

A terrorist hideout was uncovered in a remote forest area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Wednesday, leading to the recovery of grenades and ammunition, officials said.

The hideout was discovered by the Rashtriya Rifles during a search and cordon operation in Doba Gali, located in the upper reaches of the Kotranka sub-division, they said.

The recovered items included four Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) rounds, three hand grenades, 237 rounds of AK assault rifle ammunition, 101 belted rounds for a General Purpose Machine Gun, 16 pistol rounds, an AK rifle bayonet, a bag and a sheet.

No arrests were made during the operation, which was still underway when the latest reports came in, officials said.
