3rd Hindu temple was vandalized in Australia, “Hindustan Murdabad”

According to reports, Khalistani supporters in Australia vandalized a second Hindu temple and scrawled a nasty tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the walls. In the past two weeks, there have been three such attacks on Hindu temples around the nation.

A well-known hub of the Bhakti Yoga Movement in Melbourne is the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple, better known as the Hare Krishna Temple. Hindustan Murdabad, which translates as "Death to Hindu place," was scrawled on the walls of the famed shrine early on Monday morning, according to temple management.

We are surprised and offended by this apparent disdain for the place of worship, said Bhakta Das, director of communication for the ISKCON Temple. On the temple walls in Melbourne's Albert Park, anti-Indian sentiments like "Hindustan Murdabad" and "Khalistan Zindabad" have been scrawled.

There were reportedly hateful remarks inscribed on the walls that were addressed at Prime Minister Modi. According to Times Now, Bhindrawala, a terrorist who killed over 20,000 Hindus and Sikhs, has been praised by supporters of Khalistan. They say that he is known as a "martyr". Similar slogans had been written on the shrine's walls in the past.

At the Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple in Carrum Downs and the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Mill Park, vile remarks regarding Hindus and India had previously been left on the walls. The most recent attacks on Hindu temples have sparked a lot of worries.

After the attacks, Australian High Commissioner to India Barry O'Farrell expressed shock at what had happened and emphasized that the authorities were looking into the situation. The two Hindu temples in Melbourne were damaged, the High Commissioner stated, adding that "Australia is a fantastic, cosmopolitan country."

He declared, "Hate speech or acts of violence do not receive our full support for freedom of expression." According to Arindam Bagchi, the official spokeswoman for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the subject had been discussed between the governments of Australia and India.

He said: "We strongly criticized these acts." He then went on to say that the Indian Consulate General in Melbourne had brought the issue up with the local police.

Anti-Indian and anti-Hindu graffiti was daubed on the BAPS Sanstha Mandir in Australia's Mill Park earlier that day, on January 11. Slogans like "Hindustan Murdabad" and "Modi Hitler" were spray sprayed on the walls by the criminals.

Later on January 17, the vandals spray-painted graffiti on Shri Shiva Vishnu Mandir in Carrum Downs, another Hindu temple. On January 18, the police were notified of the event, which occurred between January 15 and January 16.
