A 70-year-old man is killed in Bihar after being dragged for 8 km on a car's roof

Another hit-and-drag incident involved an old guy who was struck by a fast car, dragged after he became trapped on the bonnet, and who managed to hang on for around 8 kilometers before the driver applied the brakes, sending him tumbling to the ground and killing him.

Shankar Chaudhury, 70, a resident of Bangra village in the Kotwa police station area of the district, has been identified as the victim.

According to TV reports, the incident occurred when he crossed Bangara Road near Kotawa on NH-27 in the East Champaran region of Bihar.

According to witnesses, the victim repeatedly yelled and begged the motorist to stop, but the driver kept going at the same speed.

Shankar allegedly fell from the bonnet onto the ground after the driver allegedly hit the brakes after spotting onlookers. In his haste to get away, the motorist ran over him, killing him by crushing him.

The automobile was detained by Piprakothi police, but the driver and all of the passengers escaped, according to Anuj Kumar, the head of the Kotwa police station, who spoke to NDTV. While doing so, locals blocked the road to condemn Shankar's tragic passing.

A few days ago in Bengaluru, a 29-year-old businessman was allegedly dragged on the hood of an SUV for approximately three kilometers. Days prior, a biker in the same city had pulled a 71-year-old man for about a kilometer.

Anjali Singh, 20, was killed in Delhi in the early hours of January 1 after a car struck her motorcycle and dragged it more than 12 kilometers from Sultanpur to Kanjhawala.
