A man reaches a deal with two wives, will spend 3 days a week with each

In Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior, a 28-year-old software engineer shared his time with his two spouses after reaching an arrangement with them. He consented to split the week's days between his wives, three days with each. He can spend Sunday with either of the women if he wants to.

The man was also required to give each woman a separate apartment. With each of the women, he has fathered offspring.

A 26-year-old woman married the man in May 2018, according to Advocate Harish Dewan, the counselor chosen by the Gwalior Family Court in January 2023 to handle the situation.

The pair resided in Gurgaon for two years while the male worked there. Together, they had a son as well.

After the epidemic started in 2020, the couple moved to Gwalior, and the man started working from home. He spent a few days in Gwalior but then returned to Gurugram. Even after the situation got better, he still did not return to get his wife and child.

His wife informed him that she would travel from Gwalior to Gurugram, and in 2021, her family learned that he had wed a fellow employee from the same business. A girl was also born to a second wife.

In order to obtain alimony, the wife filed a petition in a Gwalior family court. Prior to the hearing, which was set for Tuesday, the court requested that attorney and advocate Harish Dewan make an effort to reach an agreement.

Dewan spoke with the man and informed him that the Hindu Marriage Act makes it illegal to marry a second time without first divorcing the first spouse. In addition, the attorney warned the guy that if the first wife filed an FIR, he might possibly lose his job.

The three parties then decided to negotiate a settlement out of court. According to the terms of the arrangement, the guy must spend three days a week with one wife and the following three with the other. He is free to choose who he wants to spend Sunday with.

If the agreement is broken, the first wife can file a lawsuit, according to Dewan.
