A guest laborer in Kerala won a lottery of Rs 75 lakh and, in panic mode, hurried to the police station, seeking safety.
West Bengal-born SK Badesh was shocked to learn that he had won Rs 75 lakh in the Kerala government's Stree Shakti Lottery. Late on Tuesday night, he promptly proceeded to the Muvattupuzha police station to seek security for his prize money.
SK Badesh requested police protection since he was unsure of the procedures and worried that someone might steal his ticket.
The Muvattupuzha police made him comprehend the formalities and assured all security.
It's interesting to note that SK Badesh had previously tried his luck in the lottery but had never succeeded. As he sat down to review the results, he had no expectation of winning.
When he purchased the ticket, SK Badesh was working on a road in Chottanikara, Ernakulam. SK Badesh has only recently relocated to Kerala, and he has no prior knowledge of the Malayalam language. To assist him, he phoned his friend Kumar.
Once he receives the money, SK Badesh intends to return to his residence in Bengal. And with the good fortune Kerala gave him, he plans to upgrade his house and increase agriculture.
