Arvind Kejriwal will face an ongoing protest from the BJP over the dispute over renovations

The BJP will start an ongoing dharna outside the residence of the Delhi chief minister on Monday in an effort to escalate protests against Arvind Kejriwal over the remodeling dispute.

The CM's residence is near Flagstaff Road in the Civil Lines neighborhood, according to Virendra Sachdeva, the head of the Delhi BJP. He has claimed that the Kejriwal administration has been complicit in a number of frauds.

The Delhi government has been charged with spending Rs 45 crore on Kejriwal's home refurbishment during the Covid epidemic, according to the BJP, which staged a similar protest earlier with a replica of a mansion.

The protest sit-in will be organized by BJP state general secretary Harsh Malhotra and spearheaded by workers from the Keshav Puram and Chandni Chowk districts, including MP Dr. Harsh Vardhan.

According to documents with sources, the "addition/alternation" of his government residence at 6, Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines cost a total of Rs 44.78 crore as opposed to the sanctioned price of Rs 43.70 crore. According to the records, the money was invested in six trenches between September 9, 2020, and June 20, 2022.

Meanwhile, Delhi L-G VK Saxena has directed staff to safeguard the expense records and requested a report on the situation within 15 days.
