PM Modi wished everyone a happy Lord Parshuram Jayanti in another tweet. I pray that by His grace everyone would live courageous, wise, and discreet lives.

The day of Lord Parshuram's birth, known as Akshaya Tritiya or Parshuram Jayanti, is commemorated. Lord Parshuram, the sixth manifestation of Lord Vishnu, who is literally translated as "Rama with an axe," arrived on earth to deliver it from the brutality of the Kshatriyas. The majority of the nation observes the day as Parshuram Jayanti.

According to the Hindu calendar, Parashurama Jayanti occurs on the Tritiya (third day) of 'Shukla Paksha' in Vaisakh. The day falls in April or May by the Gregorian calendar.

One of the most auspicious holidays observed by Hindus and Jains nationwide is Akshaya Tritiya. The day represents luck, success, and wealth.

Akshaya Tritiya is observed by giving alms, praying, and practicing spirituality. For beginning new businesses, making investments, and purchasing gold and real estate, the day is seen as extremely lucky.

'Akshaya' means 'never fading' in Sanskrit. According to legend, good deeds performed on this day will bring success and riches for all time, and things that begin on this day expand forever with fewer impediments in their path.
