A J&K village isn't celebrating Eid this year, iftar materials were in the truck

This year, a community in Poonch, Jammu, and Kashmir, has decided not to participate in the Eid festivities. And this is a result of the terrorist attack that claimed the lives of five soldiers.

Five Army jawans were murdered in the terror attack on Thursday in Poonch, Jammu, and Kashmir, according to sources. Sticky explosives and steel bullets were used, they said.

Taking advantage of the intense rain and poor visibility in the region, terrorists opened fire on an Army vehicle, according to the Northern Command. The Rashtriya Rifles Unit jawans who perished in the shooting were on duty for local counterterrorism operations.

An Army truck was pictured in flames in pictures of the raid. The fruit was visible in the truck in photos taken after the fire. The fruits were included in the food supplies delivered to Sangiote village in the Poonch district for iftar on Thursday evening.

Sangiote, a town of around 4,000 people, is shrouded in gloom. Additionally, the people have stated that they will not be celebrating Eid with the usual ardour and joy.

According to a story in the Indian Express, invitations had been sent to a number of residents of the village for the event on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Rashtriya Rifles unit was also in charge of making the iftar arrangements.

The truck transporting goods from the Rashtriya Rifles' Balakote headquarters at Basooni was ambushed by militants. The Rashtriya Rifles have a sizable presence in the Bhimber Gali area, where the men picked up other goods, according to the report.

The Rashtriya Rifles truck was attacked by militants about 8 kilometers outside of Sangiote hamlet, which was where it was supposed to arrive.

Eid will not be observed by the villagers on Saturday. The Sangiote panchayat's sarpanch, Mukhtiaz Khan, was cited by the Indian Express as saying, "We'll merely offer namaz. The Rashtriya Rifles regiment was stationed in our village when the deceased was killed, and Khan said, "Our prayers are with their families.

Defense sources claim that seven terrorists from two different organizations participated in the terror attack.

To find the terrorists responsible for the attack, the Army, state police, and paramilitary forces launched a huge search effort. A search operation involved the deployment of almost 2,000 commandos.

In relation to the incident, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Ministry of Home Affairs both received a report from the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
