Abhijat Mishra, the secretary of the Uttar Pradesh BJP, hosted a free screening of "The Kerala Story" for college girls on Saturday in Lucknow. After the film's Saturday screening, which was attended by roughly 80 college females, Abhijat Mishra tweeted, "Show #KeralaStory to save girls from Love Jihad (sic)."
Abhijat Mishra stated in an interview with India Today that "This movie was designed specifically for girls. It demonstrates how they fall for these tricks. 30,000 or so females are missing in Kerala. He claimed that by utilizing "Love Jihad," these ladies were coerced into joining terror organizations and becoming Muslims.

A key point made by the BJP leader was the necessity of "protecting the girls from falling into the trap of Muslim boys." A teacher who went to the movie with the college students said one anticipates that the girls will avoid "bad people" after witnessing the film. The free showing in Lucknow took place on the same day that The Kerala Story was made tax-free in Madhya Pradesh by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The purported religious indoctrination in Kerala and how extremist Islamic clerics are targeting Hindu and Christian women are the main themes of the Adah Sharma-starring film. According to The Kerala Story, these women were transferred to nations like Afghanistan, Yemen, and Syria "to fight for the cause of Islam" after becoming Muslims.
Since the film's trailer was released, parties have been criticizing Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, as well as the CPI(M) and the Congress, who are in power.
