Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Railway Minister, has been on the scene of the fatal Odisha train disaster for more than 30 hours. One of the first prominent figures to arrive at the accident scene was the Union Minister.
He was observed assessing the disaster scene following the tragedy together with other officials and NDRF personnel. On Saturday, when the prime minister went to see the injured, he also went with him to the tragic scene.
Following a visit to the accident scene, Vaishnaw tweeted, "Down mail line made fit at 12:05 hrs today." Dharmendra Pradhan, a party associate, accompanied Vaishnaw to the catastrophe site. Both leaders visited two hospitals where people hurt in the tragedy are being treated after seeing the accident scene.
News agency ANI posted a video of the two ministers conversing with patients at the Soro Government Hospital in Odisha. Ashwini Vaishnaw said to reporters outside the hospital, "We met the patients and physicians at Soro Hospital. After treatment, patients can travel home on special trains that depart from Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ranchi, Kolkata, and other locations.
Government officials would take strong action against individuals guilty of the catastrophe, according to Dharmendra Pradhan.
Patients at Bhadrak Hospital were the two leaders' next encounter. The district headquarters hospital was located here. Vaishnaw claimed that after getting to know the patients, every one of them was in contact with their relatives in the various states to which they belonged.
According to Vaishnaw, medical professionals and employees are treating the victims appropriately.
He added that work is being done to restore all damaged tracks.
The disaster that happened on Friday night in Balasore, Odisha, involved three trains: the Coromandel Express, Bengaluru-Howrah Express, and a freight train. One of the worst railway tragedies to have happened in the nation recently has been labeled as a calamity.
