Enhance nutrition for mother and baby with dried fruits and nuts

Breastfeeding is essential to meeting a baby's nutritional needs. Since mothers are mostly busy taking care of their children, they have very little time to meet their dietary needs.

Supplementing with dried fruits and nuts rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients may be the easiest way to stay healthy.

Shabana Parveen, Clinical Nutritionist, Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, told IndiaToday. that dried fruit is rich in essential elements that can improve milk production and quality.

“For example, almonds contain calcium and protein that help maintain bone health and promote tissue growth. Shabana Praveen says walnuts are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids that help develop your baby's brain.

"Walnuts are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids that aid in the brain development of your baby. Cashews, with their beneficial fats, can boost energy levels, while dates, a type of iron and natural fiber, can help with postpartum wound healing,” she adds.
