Adoption of the New Delhi Declaration at the G20 is a major victory for India


In the midst of the ongoing complexities surrounding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, leaders representing the G20 nations convened at the G20 Summit on Saturday, and during this significant gathering, they came together to endorse a Joint Declaration of Nations.

Prime Minister Modi conveyed heartening news, expressing that the relentless efforts of his team had successfully forged a consensus on the New Delhi G20 Leaders' Summit Declaration. He put forth his proposal for the adoption of this declaration, personally affirming its adoption during his announcement. In the spirit of this momentous occasion, he extended his congratulations to his Sherpa and the diligent ministers who had toiled tirelessly, contributing to the realization of this achievement.

The Prime Minister emphasized his proposal for the adoption of the G20 declaration, and following the affirmative votes of the participating members, he officially declared its adoption.

Furthermore, PM Modi took a moment to extend his gratitude to the G20 sherpas, ministers, and all officials who had invested their dedication and hard work into facilitating the fruition of this collaborative declaration.

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), G20 Sherpa for India, Amitabh Kant, enthusiastically reported that the G20 declaration had received unanimous approval, with every member of the assembly showing full agreement on all issues related to development and geopolitics.

Kant went on to describe the newly crafted geopolitical paragraphs within the declaration as a resounding call for the betterment of our planet, the well-being of its people, the pursuit of peace, and the promotion of prosperity in today's complex global landscape. He underscored the leadership qualities of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which were vividly demonstrated on the world stage during this crucial event.
