Netizens are outraged as comedian Trevor Noah cancels his gig in Bengaluru, calling it a epic failrue

The cancellation of Trevor Noah's comedy show in Bengaluru stirred up a flurry of discontent on the Internet. The show came to an abrupt end after Noah expressed dissatisfaction with the venue's "bad acoustics" and conveyed his inability to continue the performance. Numerous ticket holders vented their frustrations on social media, berating the event organizers.

Many online commentators pointed out the subpar audio systems and other venue-related shortcomings. Some noted the malfunctioning air conditioning and the venue's lack of accessibility.

Vidya Shankar Aiyar voiced his frustration, saying, "What on earth does this mean @Trevornoah? Audience can’t hear the comedians on stage?? Really? That sounds quite unbelievable. Are you trying to say something in code??"

Sharing similar sentiments, a user named 'antiproton' exclaimed, "5000 rs tickets. So many people in a crammed-up place. Shitty chairs disguised in covers. No AC. That’s the Silicon Valley city of India LOL."

Individuals expressed their ire by calling out the event organizers for their poor management. Richa Srivastava, a Bengaluru-based tech professional, labeled it an "epic project management failure."

Sumeet Ramchandani, who had planned to travel from Hyderabad for the show, lamented, "I'm finding this out while checking in for the flight. I'm utterly disappointed. I was really looking forward to seeing your show. Till next time."

Another attendee, using the name Womaniya Singh, attested that she couldn't hear anything at the venue. She wrote, "I was at the event and kudos to @Trevornoah for not doing the show. Such a pathetic management by @bookmyshow. A venue with 3k people had AC not working, and ppl who paid 4.5k couldn’t hear or see anything. Imagine, for such a big venue with flat seating they had a small screen."

Madhuri Adnal, another resident of the city, commented, "Commuters who were stuck in #traffic and also those who were trying to sell the tickets must have been happy hearing this."

Waseem added, "Trevor Noah got stuck in Bengaluru Traffic & reached his own show late. People stuck in ORR traffic for 2-3 hours unable to move, sold their tickets on IG/X. Some reached & Trevor canceled the show cause of bad acoustics. He's probably already writing jokes on BLR's traffic."

The Outer Ring Road area and the roads near the tech hub experienced severe traffic jams on the day of the event.

Around 9 p.m., Trevor Noah took to social media to announce that both of his shows in Bengaluru had been canceled due to technical issues. He apologized for the inconvenience and assured ticket holders that refunds would be provided.
