Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to undertake a comprehensive review of the arrangements and readiness for the upcoming G20 Summit scheduled to take place in Delhi. Currently engaged in attending the ASEAN-India Summit in Indonesia, the Prime Minister is expected to return to Delhi on Thursday evening. Upon his return, he will convene a meeting with Cabinet ministers at the Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, during which a thorough briefing on the preparations for the forthcoming G20 Summit will be provided.
It's worth noting that the G20 Summit is scheduled to transpire in New Delhi on the 9th and 10th of September.
The eminent leaders of the G20 forum, including US President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of the United Kingdom, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, are slated to commence their arrivals in Delhi on the 8th of September.
This pivotal summit will be hosted at the Bharat Mandapam, an impressive international convention and exhibition center situated at Pragati Maidan.
For India, this two-day summit signifies a historic milestone, marking the nation's maiden hosting of such a prestigious gathering. The preparations have been extensive and multifaceted, encompassing meticulous security measures and substantial enhancements to civic infrastructure. Anticipated attendees encompass over 30 heads of state, high-ranking officials from the European Union and various invited guest nations, as well as 14 leaders representing international organizations.
