The committee for the Mathura Masjid applauds the Supreme Court's dismissal of the survey case

The Mathura Idgah Committee has expressed its satisfaction with the Supreme Court's decision to reject a request for a scientific survey of Mathura's Shahi Idgah mosque in Uttar Pradesh, highlighting that the court's ruling adheres to legal principles.

Idgah Committee Secretary, Tanveer Ahmed, conveyed his contentment regarding the Supreme Court's verdict, stating that the 'Shri Krishna Janambhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust' has been submitting irregular applications and initiating cases without any substantial foundation. He further asserted that the Trust had been misleading the court.

On Friday, the Supreme Court declined to entertain a plea by the 'Shri Krishna Janambhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust' seeking a survey of the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque premises to ascertain whether it was constructed atop an existing Hindu temple.

Tanveer Ahmed emphasized that the communal harmony between Hindus and Muslims in the region remains unaffected by the Supreme Court's decision. He emphasized that the routes to Idgah and Krishna Janmabhoomi are separate, and there has been no dispute.

Vishal Sharma, Vice President of Hindustani Biradari, an organization dedicated to promoting communal harmony, echoed similar sentiments. He stated that the Hindu-Muslim brotherhood in Mathura remains intact, and ordinary citizens are not involved in conflicts unless instigated by communal forces to engage in violence and riots.

Sharma expressed optimism that, similar to Ayodhya, a peaceful and equitable resolution will emerge, preserving the nation's communal harmony.

In July, the Allahabad High Court also dismissed a plea to direct the Mathura civil judge to decide the Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust's request for a scientific survey before addressing objections raised against the suit's maintainability. These objections were raised before the civil judge by the mosque's management committee and the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board.
