The forthcoming gathering of the opposition coalition, known as INDIA, is possibly set to convene in Bhopal, located in election-bound Madhya Pradesh, in conjunction with the inaugural collective public rally of leaders from diverse opposition parties. According to sources, this potential decision was deliberated upon following the recent meeting of opposition factions in Mumbai. While there was a general consensus on holding the meeting in Bhopal, no precise date has been confirmed, and the logistical details are yet to be determined.
The next assembly of the opposition alliance, which intends to collectively challenge the ruling NDA in the upcoming national elections, may potentially occur as early as October, as per the sources. Delhi was also contemplated as an alternative venue by opposition leaders, but no formal announcement regarding the date has been made.
In their pursuit of countering the NDA, opposition leaders have been collaborating effectively, a synergy that was evident during recent parliamentary sessions. The INDIA bloc has already convened three gatherings in Patna, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. Their forthcoming strategy includes organizing joint rallies at various locations to contest the NDA as the elections draw nearer.
