Maneka Gandhi of the BJP demands Elvish Yadav's arrest over snakes found at a Noida rave

Maneka Gandhi, a prominent figure within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has fervently advocated for the apprehension of Elvish Yadav, a social media influencer and the triumphant victor of Bigg Boss OTT, who found himself embroiled in a legal conundrum. The source of this controversy arose when Yadav's name surfaced in a First Information Report (FIR) related to the purported organization of unconventional gatherings known as "rave parties," where snakes and snake venom played an unusual role.

The emergence of a video depicting Yadav confidently handling and engaging with a serpent further intensified the intrigue surrounding this curious situation. Subsequently, an official from the Animal Welfare Officer department associated with the People For Animals (PFA) organization lodged a formal complaint. This complaint alleged that not only Elvish Yadav but also a cohort of fellow content creators had engaged in the production of videos that involved the use of snakes and snake venom, all of which unfolded at private farmhouses situated in Noida.

In an exclusive conversation with India today.in, Maneka Gandhi vehemently voiced her concerns and stated, "We became aware of this situation due to influencer Elvish Yadav's active promotion of these videos. It is imperative that he faces legal consequences. He appears to be at the epicenter of this controversy."

Elaborating further, she pointed out the dire implications of such actions, asserting that the snakes used in these videos were allegedly captured from their natural habitats, leading to their demise. It is crucial to underline that many snake species are critically endangered and protected by law. Maneka Gandhi emphasized that those involved, including Elvish Yadav, should be subjected to the stringent provisions of Indian law, which carry a potential seven-year prison term for such offenses. In a distressing revelation, Gandhi drew attention to the existence of two distinct categories of troubling videos that her organization has been tracking: one related to the mistreatment of snakes and the other involving animal abuse.

Furthermore, the PFA official, in his formal complaint, contended that these content creators had illicitly organized rave parties, where foreign women were allegedly enticed to partake in consuming snake venom and various narcotics. Upon receiving this disconcerting information, the PFA promptly initiated contact with Elvish Yadav, who, in turn, provided his agent's contact information. Remarkably, the agent reportedly consented to the arrangement of a rave party in Noida and the inclusion of live snakes in this bewildering affair.

This alarming intelligence was promptly relayed to the appropriate authorities, including the Forest Department officials and Noida Police, who took swift action by raiding the rave party during the late hours of a Thursday evening. Subsequently, five individuals were apprehended, although Elvish Yadav remained elusive, and law enforcement authorities are actively searching for him.

In response to these grave allegations, Elvish Yadav vehemently refuted the charges leveled against him, branding them as "baseless" and without merit. He vehemently asserted, "All the allegations are devoid of truth, entirely fabricated. Not even a fraction of these accusations hold any validity. I implore you not to tarnish my reputation. I stand ready to fully cooperate with the Uttar Pradesh Police. If even a minuscule fraction of these allegations are substantiated, I am prepared to assume full responsibility."
