14,000 illegal alcohol bottles were found at a Keralan BJP leader's chicken farm

Kerala police took action on Tuesday by arresting a local BJP leader, Lalu (50), and his associate, Lawrence (52), following a tip-off about illicit activities. The arrest was made after the discovery of a hidden room inside a godown at Vellanchira near Kodakara on the leader's chicken farm, containing over 14,000 bottles of illicit foreign liquor and more than 2,400 liters of spirit.

The raid, conducted by Chalakkudy and Irinjalakuda DySPs, revealed the concealed stash during an inspection of the farm's godown. While no bottling unit was found on the premises, the police are actively investigating to identify any additional individuals involved in the illegal activities.

A senior police official shared that the hidden room within the farm was unveiled as part of the operation, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to establish the source of the 14,000 bottles of liquor adorned with IMFL stickers. The operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement to address illicit activities and maintain public safety.
