A 32-year-old individual from Bihar, India, was apprehended by the police in Nepal's Madhesh province during a routine security check. The arrest occurred after law enforcement discovered the lifeless body of a newborn in the possession of Harishchandra Kumar Sudi. The incident unfolded at a temple in Sarlahi district.
Upon conducting the security check, the police uncovered the infant's body, still connected to the placenta, within a plastic bag carried by Sudi, a resident of Bihar. Subsequently, a thorough investigation was initiated, leading to the arrest of the Indian national. The deceased infant's body was then transported to the Provincial Hospital in Malangawa for a postmortem examination.
In a distinct incident, another individual from India, identified as 22-year-old Navauddin Chaudhary, was taken into custody on the outskirts of Kathmandu for the possession of prohibited red sandalwood. Chaudhary, hailing from Bihar, was arrested along with 580 grams of red sandalwood during a security check on a passenger bus that arrived in Kathmandu from Delhi on Saturday.
