In a disturbing incident that unfolded in Faridabad, Haryana, a group of unidentified men launched a brutal attack on Mahesh, the younger brother of Bittu Bajrangi, known for his involvement in cow vigilantism. The assailants, numbering approximately a dozen, carried out the attack by setting Mahesh on fire, resulting in severe burn injuries. The harrowing incident occurred around 1:20 am on a Thursday, as narrated by Bittu Bajrangi himself.
Bittu Bajrangi recounted that his brother, Mahesh, returned home late that night and urgently knocked on the gate. Upon opening the door, Mahesh's wife, Neha, was confronted with the distressing sight of her husband suffering from severe burns. Acting swiftly, they transported Mahesh to a nearby hospital, where he received initial treatment before being referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Currently, Mahesh is undergoing further treatment at a private hospital in Faridabad.
The assailants, responsible for this heinous act, managed to escape the scene after committing the crime. Bittu Bajrangi promptly reported the incident to the police and even identified one of the miscreants involved. Expressing frustration and concern for justice, he warned that if appropriate actions were not taken against the culprits, he would resort to taking matters into his own hands.
It's noteworthy that Bittu Bajrangi, as the national president of Goraksha Bajrang Force, had previously raised alarms about potential threats to his safety and the likelihood of a life-threatening assault on his brother. He had lodged official complaints with the Chief Minister and the Faridabad Police Commissioner, citing threats received through various phone numbers. In his appeals, Bittu Bajrangi had sought heightened security measures to ensure his safety and that of his family.
Responding to the gravity of the situation, the police have taken action by registering a case against the perpetrators. The charges include attempted murder, reflecting the severity of the crime committed against Bittu Bajrangi's brother.
