In Shahjahanpur, UP, two bike-borne guys steal a baby girl from her mother's lap; they investigate


According to the police, a distressing incident occurred in Shahjahanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, wherein two individuals riding a motorcycle seized a 15-day-old infant from her mother's embrace as they were making their way home from a hospital.

The unsettling event unfolded in the Jalalabad police station area, prompting swift action from senior police officials who swiftly arrived at the scene. They promptly assembled five teams to track down the perpetrators responsible for the abduction.

Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Awasthi, who personally inspected the location, affirmed that neighbouring police stations in the Hardoi district had been put on alert. Rigorous inspections were underway to swiftly apprehend the culprits behind this distressing act.

The victim, Sunita, a resident of Manjha village, had ventured to the hospital in the company of her mother-in-law to procure medication for her newborn, only to face this harrowing ordeal on their journey back home.

Awasthi recounted that while returning, the two assailants mounted on a motorcycle snatched the infant from Sunita's arms before rapidly speeding away from the scene.
