In central Delhi's Tughlaq Road area, a driver has been apprehended by the police for purportedly pilfering a laptop from the car belonging to former Union Minister K J Alphons. This incident transpired on December 6 when Alphons was visiting the India International Centre (IIC).
As per law enforcement, the alleged theft occurred when an individual, identified as the driver of another person who was also present at the IIC, observed the laptop inside Alphons' car and seized the bag containing it. Subsequently, the police took swift action, resulting in the arrest of the implicated driver.
This incident highlights the significance of vigilant security measures to safeguard personal belongings, especially in public spaces, and underscores the need for heightened awareness to prevent such occurrences.
