This action follows an ambush attack by terrorists on an Army convoy last week, resulting in the tragic loss of four soldiers.
After the terrorist attack on Army vehicles near Dhatyar Morh in the Poonch district, aerial surveillance and intensified ground combing operations were promptly launched, particularly in the forest belt of Dera Ki Gali and Bafliyaz.
The armed terrorists, allegedly linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and identified as the People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), claimed responsibility for the attack on soldiers. They shared images from the attack site on social media, showcasing advanced US-made M4 carbine assault rifles.
In response to the civilian deaths in the region and amid allegations of custodial torture by the families of the deceased, the Army is reportedly taking disciplinary action against some officers and restructuring the postings of others.
