The PM is urging devotees to burn diyas at home instead of visiting Ram Mandir on January 22

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address in Ayodhya, made an earnest appeal to devotees of Lord Ram scattered across the nation, urging them not to rush to Ayodhya for the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir scheduled for January 22.

Expressing his sentiments, PM Modi conveyed, "I have a humble request for everyone. I understand that many wish to be part of the momentous event on January 22 here in Ayodhya. However, it may not be feasible for everyone to attend. Hence, I earnestly urge all followers of Lord Ram to consider visiting Ayodhya at their convenience after the formal proceedings on January 22."

Emphasizing the importance of reverence and patience, he underscored, "Let's not inconvenience the deity and wait as the culmination approaches. We have already waited for 550 years; I appeal for a few more days of patience."

The Prime Minister's address took place following his inauguration of the renovated Ayodhya Dham Railway Station and the newly constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport. These inaugurations were part of the prelude leading up to the significant consecration ceremony.

While urging people to avoid flocking to Ayodhya on the day of the event, PM Modi encouraged them to illuminate their homes with traditional lamps on January 22, fostering a unified sense of celebration across the country. Additionally, he called for nationwide initiatives promoting cleanliness at pilgrimage sites and temples from January 14 through January 22.

In tandem with these instructions, Prime Minister Modi took the opportunity to unveil and lay the foundation stone for various development projects in the state, collectively valued at over Rs 15,700 crore.
