"To make his son...": Following his brother's incarceration, BJP MP took a pointed swipe at Siddaramaiah

In response to the recent arrest of his brother Vikram Simha, BJP MP Pratap Simha took aim at Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, alleging that the Chief Minister is deliberately targeting his family with the ulterior motive of securing a political career for his son, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, particularly in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

During a media interaction held a day after Vikram Simha's arrest, Pratap Simha asserted that Siddaramaiah is putting in considerable effort to pave the way for his son's electoral victory from Mysore for the Lok Sabha. Pratap Simha accused the Chief Minister of exerting significant influence and resorting to various tactics to ensure Yathindra Siddaramaiah's success in the elections.

In a somewhat sarcastic tone, Pratap Simha acknowledged Siddaramaiah's dedication to promoting his son's political aspirations, stating, "To make his son Yathindra contest and win from Mysore for Lok Sabha, Siddaramaiah is working so hard and is stamping on others to make his son win. One has to really learn it from Siddaramaiah. Not everyone will get a father like you."

Further emphasizing Siddaramaiah's alleged determination, Pratap Simha remarked, "You are a brilliant father. Not everyone will get a father like you. To make your son win, you are fighting so hard as Pratap Simha is an obstacle."

It's noteworthy that Vikram Simha's arrest, which occurred on Saturday, is linked to a case involving the unauthorized chopping of nearly 126 trees and the alleged smuggling of wood in a village within the Hassan district of Karnataka. While initially taken into custody by the Organized Crime Squad of Bengaluru's City Crime Branch (CCB), Vikram Simha was later transferred to the custody of the state's forest department. Subsequently, he was released on bail on Sunday.
