On Thursday, the Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation took action to demolish the residence of Rohit Rathore, one of the individuals implicated in the shooting incident involving Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The municipal authorities utilized bulldozers to dismantle Rohit Rathore's house located in Khatipura, asserting that the construction was unauthorized.
Rohit Rathore's mother, Om Kanwar, expressed surprise at the sudden demolition, stating that they had not received any prior notice from the Municipal Corporation. The operation caught the family off guard, and Rohit Rathore's sister was reportedly apprehended by Jaipur City Police following pleas from family members, including young children.
The shooting incident, which occurred on December 5, led to the arrest of the two suspects, Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji, along with their associate Uddham in Chandigarh on December 9. The operation was a collaborative effort between the Delhi Police Crime Branch and the Rajasthan Police.
CCTV footage captured the moment when Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot inside his Jaipur residence. Gangster Rohit Godara, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder in a Facebook post shortly after the incident.
Upon their arrest, Nitin Fauji reportedly confessed to police that the murder was executed on the instructions of Rohit Godara and his close associate Virendra Charan. Investigations revealed that Rathore and Fauji had allegedly planned to escape the country and were promised Rs 50,000 each for carrying out Gogamedi's killing.
Sources have suggested that the motive behind Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi's murder might be linked to a land dispute, as he was reportedly entangled in land disputes involving Rohit Godara.
