Police in Faridabad reported a tragic incident where a 15-month-old child lost his life after drowning in a bucket of water inside a house.
The unfortunate incident occurred while the child was engrossed in watching cartoons on TV along with other children at home. Subsequently, he was discovered submerged in the bucket, according to authorities.
As per the account provided by Raman, a resident of Indira Colony, his 15-month-old nephew Ayush had been seated in front of the television alongside other children on Saturday evening. While Ayush's grandparents remained in their room and his mother attended to kitchen duties, the child unexpectedly departed from the group and headed to the bathroom.
Upon realizing Ayush's absence, family members initiated a search, leading to the distressing discovery of the child with his head immersed in a bucket of water. Prompt action was taken to extricate Ayush from the water, and he was swiftly transported to a nearby private hospital. Tragically, medical professionals declared him deceased upon arrival, as confirmed by police sources.
Following a postmortem examination conducted on Sunday, authorities released the child's body to the family for final rites and arrangements.
