The chilling incident unfolded as the trio was en route to their new residence.
The background reveals that Chandan and Chandni had defied familial disapproval to unite in marriage. Their love story, which blossomed during their early twenties, culminated in an elopement, marking the beginning of their shared journey. The disapproval persisted, and tragedy struck when the couple, along with their toddler, visited Chandan's bedridden father. It was during this visit that the heinous crime transpired.
