Mohammad Habib experienced a surge of emotions upon receiving a unique invitation to the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. The invitation, accompanied by unbroken, uncooked grains of rice and a photo of the Ram temple, was sent from Ayodhya to Habib in Mirzapur, igniting a profound emotional response. The 70-year-old former 'kar sevak,' who has also held various positions in the BJP district unit, expressed his sentiments, stating, "I became emotional as I got the ‘akshata’," referring to the symbolic rice.
Habib, having participated in the demolition of the Babri mosque in 1992, plans to watch the consecration ceremony on television. He intends to visit Ayodhya after January 22, as suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reflecting on the historical significance of the event, Habib emphasized the long journey and battles leading to the construction of the Ram temple, calling it a momentous day for everyone.
Recalling his involvement as a 'kar sevak' in Ayodhya in 1992, Habib affirmed his commitment to the BJP and revealed that the results and old memories have revived after nearly 32 years. He considers Lord Ram his ancestor, aligning with the concept of "Bhartiyata" or Indianness. The announcement of the consecration ceremony on January 22 has rekindled old memories and brought a sense of fulfillment for Habib.
In a similar vein, social worker Nazneen Ansari in Varanasi expressed joy over the construction of the Ram Mandir, contrasting it with a past period of fear associated with mentioning the Ram temple. Ansari, who runs the Muslim Mahila Foundation, anticipates happiness across the country due to the temple's construction. She recounted a period of hatred following the 2006 bomb blasts at the Sankat Mochan temple in Varanasi, where she started following Lord Ram and reciting the Hanuman Chalisa. Ansari plans to watch the consecration ceremony on TV, embracing the positive sentiments associated with the event.
However, Iqbal Ansari, who represented the Muslim side in the Ram temple-Babri mosque dispute case, will attend the consecration ceremony after receiving an official invitation. Ansari emphasized Ayodhya's historical legacy of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb, symbolizing peaceful coexistence. He welcomed the invitation with enthusiasm and respect, expressing his intent to attend the praan pratishtha and have a darshan of Ram Lalla. Ansari highlighted the conclusion of issues following the Supreme Court's judgment on November 9, 2019, and emphasized the historic and developmental transformations taking place in Ayodhya.
