A team from the Gurugram Police successfully retrieved the lifeless body of Divya Pahuja, a 27-year-old former model, who had met a tragic end under suspicious circumstances at a Gurugram hotel on January 2. The recovery operation took place in Haryana's Tohna, where Pahuja's remains were discovered in a canal. The identification process was facilitated by sharing a photograph of the deceased with her family, who confirmed her identity.

Remarkably, the exhaustive efforts of six Gurugram Police teams were deployed to locate and retrieve Pahuja's body. Additional support was enlisted from various quarters, including multiple teams from the Punjab Police and a specialized 25-member unit from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to enhance the recovery process.

Earlier in the week, a significant breakthrough emerged when one of the suspects, Balraj Gill, divulged to the police that he had disposed of Pahuja's body in the canal situated in Haryana's Sohna. This revelation provided a crucial lead in the investigation.

Delving into the background of the case, Divya Pahuja allegedly met her demise in dubious circumstances at a Gurugram hotel. Subsequently, three individuals, including Abhijeet Singh, the proprietor of City Point Hotel where the unfortunate incident occurred, were apprehended by the Gurugram Police. The entire sequence of events was captured by surveillance cameras, revealing Abhijeet, the victim, and another individual entering the hotel reception around 4 am on January 2. Later in the evening, the footage depicted Abhijeet and accomplices dragging Divya Pahuja's lifeless body.
