Four people are killed in a Delhi apartment building fire, including a one-year-old


Tragedy struck on Friday evening in New Delhi's Shahdara's Ram Nagar area when a fire engulfed a building, resulting in the unfortunate demise of four individuals, including a one-year-old child. Additionally, two others sustained injuries in the incident.

The distress call was received by the Police Control Room (PCR) at 5:20 pm, prompting the immediate dispatch of the fire brigade to the scene. Thanks to the swift response, the fire was eventually brought under control.

Upon receiving the PCR call, senior police officials promptly rushed to the location. Three individuals were initially rescued from the building with the assistance of local residents. Subsequently, three more individuals were rescued following the arrival of the fire brigade, as confirmed by police officials to India Today.

The rescued individuals, who were found unconscious, were promptly transported to GTB Hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, the medical team declared four individuals, including the one-year-old child, a 17-year-old boy, and two women identified as Gauri (40) and Rachna (28), deceased upon their arrival at the hospital. Presently, the two injured individuals are receiving medical treatment.
